How our prices are calculated
Taxi fares are regulated by an order of the préfecture, the local state authority. For a local journey, the price is made up of a pick-up charge, a per-kilometre rate that varies with the time of day and the direction of travel, and an hourly rate when waiting or in slow traffic. The meter is visible throughout the journey and the rate applied is displayed in the vehicle.
For airports and long distances, we prefer a fixed price: a set price agreed before departure, which does not move whatever the traffic. It is clearer for you, and it lets you compare with confidence.
